Configuring and Using FlexPath Account Settings
Learn how to access, configure, and manage account-level settings in the FlexPath Portal — including user permissions, lead delivery, and best practices for keeping your account optimized.
Overview
The FlexPath Portal provides a centralized interface for managing your account configuration, user access, lead delivery, and reporting. Keeping your account settings properly configured ensures accurate lead routing, appropriate data access controls, and a consistent experience across your team. This article walks through the key areas of account settings and how to use them effectively.
Accessing the FlexPath Portal
Before configuring account settings, ensure you have been granted access with the appropriate permissions. If you require access, contact FlexPath Support or your account administrator.
FlexPath uses secure, email-based authentication — no username or password is required.
- Your user account is linked to your email address.
- When logging in, you will receive a secure access link by email.
- Click the link to access the portal.
Tip: If you are using a personal or trusted device, select "Trust this device for 30 days" during login to skip verification on future visits from that device.
Navigating the FlexPath Dashboard
Once logged in, you will land on the main dashboard. The left-hand navigation includes four primary sections:
- Account – Account-level settings and configuration
- Leads – View and manage FlexPath leads
- Users – Manage user access (admin permissions required)
- Help – Best practices and support resources
Account Settings
The Account section is where you manage configuration options that affect how FlexPath operates for your dealership or dealer group. If you make any changes while logged in — such as updates to permissions or lead delivery settings — you must select Refresh Account Settings for those changes to take effect immediately. Otherwise, updates will apply the next time you log in.
Creating Users and Assigning Access Levels
Administrators can create and manage users directly within the portal. To add a new user:
- Log in to the FlexPath Portal.
- Navigate to the Users tab.
- Select Create New and enter the following:
- Name
- Phone number
- Profile restrictions and permissions
Tip: Regularly review user access to ensure only active team members can view lead data. Confirm appropriate privileges whenever creating or updating logins.
Important: Users must be explicitly granted permission to view soft pull data. This permission is not enabled by default.
Lead Detail Viewing Privileges
FlexPath offers four tiers of lead access permissions. Each level controls what lead data a user can view within the portal:
| Access Level | Data Available |
|---|---|
| Full Credit Bureau Data | All available lead details, including full credit bureau data. Includes everything in lower access tiers. |
| Consumer PII | Consumer personal information, qualification score, and complete prequalified financing details including interest rates. Does not include full credit bureau data. |
| General Lead Information | City, state, and ZIP; qualification score; and limited financing details (financing type, term, credit tier). Does not include consumer PII or full credit bureau data. |
| Lead Reporting & Summary Data | Aggregated reports, charts, and summary data only. Individual lead details are not included at this level. |
Administrative Privileges
Administrative access is scoped based on account structure:
- Dealer Groups: Can manage users for Dealer Groups and all associated Dealer Rooftops.
- Dealer Rooftops: Can manage users for their specific rooftop only.
CRM and Lead Source Configuration
To ensure accurate lead attribution and delivery, configure FlexPath as a lead source in your CRM:
- Leads are delivered from leads@adf.flexpathdxp.com.
- ADF leads use the provider ID FPDXP.
- Periodically reconcile lead counts to ensure accuracy.
Note: CRMs often source leads based on the original engagement date, which may result in what appear to be duplicate entries. FlexPath leads include more detailed engagement and qualification data to support downstream follow-up.
Analytics and Attribution Setup
To maintain consistent attribution and reporting across campaigns, configure your analytics tools using the following resources:
- GA4 Mapping – For setting up Google Analytics 4 event tracking aligned with FlexPath activity.
- UTM Parameter Guide – For standardizing UTM usage across campaigns and channels.
Reference these resources when setting up or auditing your analytics configuration to ensure FlexPath conversions are properly attributed.
Test Lead Configuration
The Test Lead Info section within the Leads menu provides test credentials you can use to submit test leads. Using test data prevents real customer submissions and avoids triggering credit pulls or associated fees. This is particularly useful during initial setup or when validating new integrations.
Best Practices for Account Management
- Always select Refresh Account Settings after making any in-session configuration changes to ensure they take effect immediately.
- Regularly review and audit user access levels to confirm only active team members retain portal access.
- Ensure all relevant team members have active logins with the appropriate access tier for their role.
- Confirm your team understands VeriQual™ data points and how to apply them when working with credit-qualified leads.
- Maintain consistent messaging across autoresponders, campaigns, and marketing templates to align with your FlexPath integration.
- Filter out test leads in reporting views to ensure analytics reflect real customer activity only.
- For dealer groups, confirm that individual rooftops select their specific location under the Dealer section when viewing lead data, as group-level views aggregate all rooftop data.
Support and Additional Resources
For additional guidance on portal navigation, lead management, and account configuration, the Help section within the portal provides access to FlexPath best practices and supplementary resources. For personalized training or support, contact the FlexPath team at support@flexpathdxp.com to schedule a session with a Subject Matter Expert.
Summary
Properly configuring your FlexPath account settings — including user access levels, lead delivery, CRM integration, and analytics attribution — is essential to maximizing the value of the platform. Administrators should routinely review permissions, apply the Refresh Account Settings action after any in-session changes, and leverage available resources to keep their setup current and optimized for their team's workflows.
